Tilicho Lake Trek 18 Days


Tilicho lake is trekking in involve Annapurna Circuit Tilicho lake trek is the highest elevation lake in the world, Beautiful Himalayan scenery in Nepal. It lies on above sea level 4200 m high.  This trek covered magnificent view of all range in Annapurna Mountain region, in fact all of trek within Nepal always start   from low land and finally cross some higher pass and for few days again go end at low elevation. Primary we follow the trekking trail from Besisahar ,Bulbule ,Dharapani ,  its head quarter of this district  Chame Bazzar  and after chame we walk few hundred slove down and flat walk before cross river  bridge ,and  we walk steady up hill and we arrive at pisang  village which is called lower pisang  it’s also very small village,on the east side  of this village it’s called nagwal where as monastery and is quite big village of this area  where  as pisang peak climber  will start their journey from this village .And we fillow our trek journey to Manang village it is another famous village in entire of this Tilicho lake Trek  we follow different trek trail to Tilicho from Manang and visit Tilicho lake and we arrive in Yak kharka and we again find our regular trekking trail to Throng phedi and next day we cross Throngla Pass and an we  arrive late evening  at Muktinath  holi temple we stop for over night at there.following day our journey to Jomsom not much longer  day trek  we start very late in the morning and finally we arrive at Jomsom  for over night which is capital city of Mustang and follow day early flight to Pokhara .from Jomsom. which is around 35 minute flight only.

ITINERARY


Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:

On the first day, you will take a flight to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by the representative from Antique Nepal Trek. He will drive you through the busy streets of Kathmandu to the hotel where you will stay overnight.

Day02: Drive to Besisahar (830m) 6hrs:

Scenic drive with views of rice terraces, snow-clad mountains and rivers will take us through Mugling to Dumre. We will leave Prithvi Highway and travel for Besisahar. Besisahar exists about 185km far from Kathmandu. 

Day 03: Drive to Syange (1070m) Trek to Chamje (1400m) 5hrs:

We will head towards Bahundanda village from Besisahar. The trail then descends to suspension bridge over Marsyangdi River. We will take the stone steps to Jagat village. Trail escalates uphill through forest to Chamje.

Day 04: Trek to Bagarchhap (2160m) 5hrs:

Following the trail through rocky terrain, we will walk along Marsyangdi River before taking escalating trail uphill to Tal (1675m). Tal is the first village that you will encounter in Manang district. We will walk through valley to reach Dharapani (1890m). We will walk along chortens and Mani Walls to Bagarchhap (2160m).

Day 05: Trek to Chame (2630m) 5hrs:

We will take the escalating trail to Tyanja (2630m). The trail continues through forest to Kopar (2590m). We will reach Chame, headquarters of Manang district and enjoy the scenic view of Annapurna II Mountain. We can see Tibetan influenced culture in this region.   

Day 06: Trek to Pisang (3300m) 5hrs:

Leaving Chame village, we will walk through the dense woods. We will cross tapered valley to arrive at river. We will cross the river over suspension bridge. The way offers panoramic view of Paungda Danda ridge. We will follow the trail to Pisang where we will stay overnight.

Day 07: Trek to Manang (3540m) 5hrs:

We will head to Upper Manang on 7th day. There are two alternatives to reach Manang from Pisang. The trails stretch to north and south of Marsyangdi River. These trails meet at Mungji. We will take southern route which continues through Hongde. It needs less climbing than from northern trail that continues through Ghyaru. From Mungji, we will walk past Bryanga village (3475m) to Manang. 

Day 08: Acclimatization day in Manang:

This is rest day. We will visit nearby monasteries. If you wish, we can arrange for brief trip to Gangapurna.

Day 09: Trek to Khangsar village (3700m) 4hrs:

We will head northwest to river. We will cross the suspension bridge over Jharsang Khola and traverse pine woods and wheat fields to arrive at Khangsar which is the Gurung village. Khangsar is the beautiful village which is lined with monastery, Chorten, Mani walls and prayer flags.

Day 10: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp (4200m) 5hrs:

We will walk past monastery and choose escalating trail to top of ridge. There are two ways to reach Tilicho Lake. Since ancient trail is rather difficult, we will take the newly opened trail and lower down through valley to Tilicho Base Camp.     

Day 11: Trek to Tilicho Lake (5200m) Back to Tilicho Base Camp (4200m) 6hrs:

3hrs of trek will take us to Tilicho Lake. Along with the jewel of Tilicho Lake, we will enjoy views of Gangapurna, Tarkegang, Khangsar and upper Manang and Pisang valley from Tilicho Lake premises. Later, we will make return trip all the way back to Tilicho Base Camp.

Day 12: Trek to Yak Kharka (4000m) 5hrs:

We will leave Tilicho Base Camp and walk above Khangsar village. The journey continues through the ruins of old Khangsar to the river. We will cross the river over long bridge between Gumsang and Yak Kharka and arrive at Yakkharka after 5hrs of trek.

Day 13: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4450m) 5hrs:

The first half of trek will take us through the escalating trail uphill. At midway, we will lower down to river. We will cross the river (4310m) and choose the upward trail to Thorong Phedi where we will stay overnight.   

Day 14: Trek to Muktinath (3800m) via Thorung La Pass (5416m) 8hrs:

From Phedi, we will follow the steep way and pass through moraines and rocky ridges to arrive to thorong La Pass.  We will descend steeply to Muktinath. This is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus. It is also home to many ethnic Tibetans and Buddhist saint. We will stay overnight at Muktinath.

Day 15: Trek to Jomsom (2720m) via Kagbeni 5hrs:

We will pass through stone steps to reach the scenic Jharkot kani which is a beautiful monastery. The trail continues through ridges, meadows, streams, and forest to arrive at Kagbeni which is  a gateway to Upper Mustang. We will visit red walled Thubten kagchode Sampheling Gompa founded in 1429. After lunch, we will continue the trek to Jomsom through Kaligandaki valley.

Day 16: Flight to Pokahra:

We will take an early morning flight to Pokhara. 25minutes of flight from Jomsom airport will take us to Pokhara. We will stay overnight in hotel at Pokhara.

Day 17:  Drive or Fly to Kathmandu:

25 minute of flight through Manaslu Mountain will take us to Kathmandu. Alternatively, we can take a bus ride for about 6 to 7 hours through Prithvi highway to reach Kathmandu. We will have our evening dinner in our hotel at Kathmandu.

Day18: Departure:

It is the day of departure. You will be assisted in your last minute preparation and then our representative will take you to airport from where you will leave for next destination.
